Abstract

Selection of aircraft fuselage material directly relating to aviation safety, fuel efficiency, service. This research studies how aircraft has gone from using wood to aluminum, titanium and composites via theoretical analysis and literature synthesis. Aircraft Material Evolution is analyzed, with characteristics and applications of each material discussed, as well as present day multi material designs and future smart material research. The research shows that the development of aviation material adheres to the basic rule of "lighter, firmer, longer" and tends to be more multifunctional, intelligent and sustainable. This study presents a comprehensive theoretical framework for the development pattern of aviation material science, examining the historical evolution from conventional to advanced materials and their incorporation into intricate systems. This research not only examines the technical characteristics and economic viability of each generation of materials but also proposes several pathways to enhance the aviation industry. By leveraging multi-functional material systems, sustainable composites, and digitally-enhanced manufacturing processes, the study aims to make aviation safer, more efficient, and significantly more environmentally friendly.
